Whilst we would be flattered if you wanted to extend your festival experience for as long as possible, unfortunately we are unable to offer onsite camping on the night of the 1st of January, as festival facilities and amenities will no longer be available. Remember to visit Vanessa (TAC’s ex-booze bus) on the way home on the 1st for a coffee and a free breath test as your leave!

Can I PERFORM?

Well, The APRA Peoples Stage makes its welcome return in 2010, playing host to, none other than the delightful Falls patron. This is the festival ticket holder’s chance for a well-earned 15 minutes of fame. Each year this stage showcases The Falls patrons in all their artistic charms working the crowd; whether it is with a comedy skit, acoustic croon, musical interlude, beat-box-off, or an a cappella ensemble, the stage is the patrons for the taking. A not to be missed favourite and delight of the fest.  Musicians, comedians, poets, street performers, everyone is welcome to send a demo and bio to Con Kalamaras, C/ APRA, 3 & 5 Sanders Place, Richmond Vic 3121. And make sure he gets it before Monday 20 December, please contact Con Kalamaras on victas@apra.com.au 03 9426 5200 at the Melbourne APRA office. www.apra-amcos.com.au

Can I bring my Winnebago/Caravan/Bus/Trailer to the festival?

You sure can! Just keep in mind that gas bottles are restricted as they can be a fire hazard on site. If the gas bottle is removable you can choose to leave it at home or for a gold coin donation you can leave with the on site fire brigade to store until after the event.

Can we bring the kids along?

The Lorne Festival is an 18+ event. Proof of age ID will be required to enter the Lorne event and may be requested at any time. Children 10 and under will be admitted free of charge but must be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or legal guardian at all times.

The Falls Music and Arts Festival, Marion Bay

The Marion Bay Festival is all ages. Children aged 10 and under are free of charge. Children aged under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or legal guardian at all times.

What time will the gates close each evening?

Gates will close at 9pm each night on the 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st.

Can I bring a port-a-loo?

Whilst we enjoy your forward thinking, the answer is a NO. We have fabulous loo's throughout the Falls site that are all enviro-friendly and Falls fan friendly. So do leave the loo's at home.

Is there Parking?

If you are camping, you will be parked inside the festival next to your campsite. You won't be able to drive your car out of the festival until the 1st when the festival is over. There is no temporary parking onsite or anywhere near the festival, so please don’t try it or you will find yourself in a spot of bother with the local By Laws Officers and police. If you are staying off site, make use of the festival shuttle bus to and from Lorne (check out the TRAVEL TIPS section of this site).

Are there Pass Outs?

Pass outs will only be issued to patrons leaving the event site by the festival shuttle bus. The Falls Festival shuttle bus operates between the venue and the town and beaches of Lorne. The bus operates on the 29th, 30th and 31st December. (Check out the TRAVEL TIPS section of this site).

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes there is, however, to ensure we provide you with the best possible access, could you please send an email to us and let us know which event site you will be at and the level of care required at enquiries@ashlorien.com

What is a Sabine Fields Ticket?

The Sabine Fields Campground is located offsite - we will be running a continual bus service between the stunning Sabine Campgrounds and The Falls site. It is merely a 5 minute bus ride away and there are loo's & showers, fresh water and lush green grass! We overheard folks last year say it was the best and most primo site at the fest!

What does it mean if i am a Sabine Fields ticket holder?

- You must access the site via the Mt Sabine Rd ticket check (directions below). Your ticket won't be accepted at the Erskine Falls Rd ticket check and you will have up to a 1 hour detour if you arrive at the wrong gate!
- Your ticket enables camping at Sabine Fields camping ground and entry to all entertainment at the main festival site from 9am Dec 30th – Jan 1st.
- You do not have access to the event or campgrounds on Dec 29th. Local by-laws prohibit sleeping in cars or camping in public places and are strictly enforced over summer. Accommodation in the area is also limited and must be booked well in advance.
- Camping is not available at the main festival site. If friends have purchased main camping tickets, they can camp with you but not the other way around. A free shuttle bus will operate regularly between Sabine Fields Camping Ground and the festival site.
- Directions to Mt Sabine Ticket Check: From Melbourne: Travel down Princes Hwy, through Geelong to Winchelsea. Turn left 1km past Winchelsea shops onto Deans Marsh/Lorne Rd. Follow for approx. 20 minutes. Pass through Deans Marsh township, continue along the Lorne road for a further 10 minutes/12kms.Turn right onto Mt Sabine Rd. If you start descending sharp corners on Deans Marsh Rd, you've missed the Mt Sabine turn off. Follow Mt Sabine Rd for about 10mins /10kms. Look for signs to Sabine Fields Camping Grounds. From Lorne: Head towards Deans Marsh via Deans Marsh Rd, follow for approximately 15 minutes. Turn left onto Mt Sabine Rd. Follow Mt Sabine Rd for about 10 min/10kms. Look for signs to Sabine Fields Camping Grounds.
