Sustainability At THE Falls

Sustainability is very close to the heart of The Falls Music & Arts Festival. Boasting two of Australia’s most incredible natural environment venues, the festivals are nestled away in the pristine Otway Rainforest in Victoria's Great Ocean Road region, while the other is over-looking the stunning Marion Bay, Maria Island and Hell Fire Bluff on Tasmania's East Coast.

Historically the events have always strived to minimize their impact on the local environment and make improvements to existing conditions where possible with tree planting, surveying, fencing and track work, to name just a few! The Falls has also always supported and worked closely with the communities in which they opperate. Explore all the work we do to make the event as sustainable as possible in both the 'Environment' and 'Community' sections.

Environment

The Falls Music & Arts Festival recognises that the running of the simultaneous events in Lorne, Victoria and Marion Bay, Tasmania have a direct impact (both positive and negative) on the environment. The festivals uphold a strong commitment to sustainability and are committed to ensure wherever possible that our activities, infrastructure, products and services enhance the environments in which our events are staged, while minimising any negative impact that may occur.
